The Swan Inn, Letton, Near Hay on Wye

Surprisingly modern, Scandinavian-ish. Proprietor really making the effort. Extremely welcoming & helpful. Highly recommend it.

Very nicely appointed room; well thought out; fan and heater provided, essentials provided. Breakfast is basic but cleverly provides for multiple dietary requirements. Free parking. Good WiFi connectivity.

The whole place was immaculate, everything was modern and new, beautiful artwork by Vincent and Lowry etc. Comfortable new king-size bed and ensuite bathroom. Lovely views.

Breakfast disappointing, just cereals and bread, make -your -own toast coffee etc.

The size of the room and peaceful location made for a lovely getaway.

The lack of air conditioning made a dramatic difference arriving in summer. We mounted the fan to blow directly over the bed but even with the windows open at night the heat was stifling; this paired with sunrise lighting the room past the blinds at 05:30 lead to a poor night's sleep. The odd lack of bins anywhere in the building (even the breakfast area) lead us to believe that the current focus on B&B rather than being an operational pub is a new one. Historic photos of cooked foods on Google were misleading as the site does not have an operational kitchen.

Delicious continental breakfast. Home baked bread which was delicious.

Very nice and comfortable room with everything you could expect. The staff were friendly and helpful, always responding to our messages promptly. Would definitely recommend to anyone who’d like to stay.
