Friendly & helpful staff, room was excellent. Service was great.

Very comfortable and spacious room. Good breakfast. Lovely staff.

Not much to dislike. Parking is interesting.

Breakfast was ok, nothing special, pretty basic, walk down from town from night out suited why I booked there, it was my birthday night out with friends whom live in Aberdare

Come back to a car parked across the opening to the outside walkway (way in) went to go around it ‘not seen a load of empty bottles on the floor, went flying cut my knees very awkward to get up being these bottles and recycling bags took up all the space available was not happy, inadequate lighting, then in the morning to go down for breakfast it was like a Chinese laundry, with towels and linen hung out on the railings of the balcony and steps. Far from the best stays I have experienced in Aberdare - Check in not a good experience, having the entire bar turn as you walk in, and then at to wait for bar staff serving before attention or even saying where the desk was, eventually met the lady responsible who was very welcoming and took me again through the bar to narrow corridor crates stored there, then outside up steps to rooms, when in there they were to a very high standard, deco was very good.

The food and drink were good value for money. The twin room was clean and nicely made up. The staff were lovely, and they made a great breakfast for twelve of us at 0800.

Room six has a condensing unit fitted to the wall, which runs all night. The compressor comes on every five minutes. I was very tired after a day on the dirt bike, but I still couldn't sleep. Real shame as the rooms and pub were very nice.

The place is unassuming but extremely cosy, the lamb shank was amazing, and the staff the nicest people ever (and we were travelling with 6 small children!)
