Great location, room decor exceptional, very clean, staff very friendly, breakfast good.

I have stayed at the Marquis a few times in the past and I was impressed when I booked in. The manager warned me that there was live music in the venue that evening and asked me if I wished to move room. As this was very unlikely to affect me, I told no thank you. The staff are brilliant and the town location is just what I needed. Breakfast was excellent!

Nothing really, but parking could be a problem some days.

Good breakfast - eggs, bacon, sausage, hash brown, mushrooms, tomato, toast and tea or coffee. Close proximity to the town, bus station and train station. Room was really nice.

Access to the rooms could be refurbished

The location was ideal for our stay.

Unfortunately had a wedding on. Music loud till midnight. With kids it wasn’t ideal. Need new beds as you can feel the springs through the mattress. Outside the entrance to the rooms was total mess with overflowing bins and a smoking area for staff.
