We had a 3 fantastic nights at Brook Farmhouse. It is a charming cottage. The king room was huge. Very quiet location. We enjoyed spending evenings in the living room by the fire place. Penny and Paul were great hosts and managed all our queries with smile. The breakfast was great specially the apple juice!

You need to be agile and not disabled to negotiate the tight spiral staircase!

It’s a beautiful old cottage in a gorgeous setting with a great atmosphere. Our host was attentive & very welcoming from the beginning, bringing us tea & the most delicious homemade cake on our arrival & the weather was fine enough for us to sit in the garden to have it. There were fresh flowers from the garden in our room, which was a lovely touch.

The stairs to our bedroom were tricky & ceilings were low & as we are an elderly couple, getting our luggage up there was a worry. Old houses are bound to have these features but I think it might have been better had we had some warning. Our room was pretty but very full of furniture & knick knacks so by the time we had introduced all our belongings there wasn’t much room to move.

Breakfast excellent. Friendly host. Lovely old farmhouse.

The access to the room would be difficult for less agile people and the bed was a little small

Penny and her husband were excellent hosts, they made sure our trip was great and the breakfast was excellent.
