Loved the country side, the old restored farmhouse, and all the period features, furniture and …… the lot. Especially loved the narrow lanes leading to the home. 😊😊 Loved the comforts and the breakfast. Shoukd have stayed longer 😕

On our arrival we were greeted with tea and home made cake taken in the small garden, amid a busy community of birds and insects. A wonderful old farm cottage occupying a lovely corner of typically close Devon countryside; comfortable, homely, with the reassuring steady tock from the grandfather clock standing guard in the hallway. This really was home from home.

Having to leave so soon. Ours was a short stay to break the journey west.

A beautiful home and very welcoming hosts. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the country, and relatively easy access to nearby sights. We didn't want to leave.

Not one thing!

Excellent Breakfast. Access is down a long, badly pot-holed single track road. Cottage is very remote, which is lovely, but too far to walk down to the pub or the village shop. The bathroom is shared with other rooms. The local pub is fine and does reasonable pub grub. Hosts are lovely and friendly. Assess to the bedrooms is up a very steep and narrow winding staircase.

We prefer en-suite bathrooms
