The team here are fantastic. We were welcomed with fresh lime soda and shown to our beautiful room. Keya and the team on reception immediately made us feel at home and looked after. The interior design is stunning l, the rooms clean, the bed comfy and the food and drink delicious and plentiful. Breakfast just kept coming. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Kolkata. As a tip - Uber is cheap and you can pay cash. We found this easier than trying to explain the hotel location to taxi drivers.

Ein Juwel: sehr aufwendig und -bis ins kleinste Detail- liebevoll renoviertes altes Town House mit Stil und Charme, mit großzügigem sehr schönem Zimmer und tollem Rooftop Restaurant. Ausgesprochen nette und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter, insgesamt eine wunderbar schöne Atmosphäre!

Die Unterkunft im Calcutta Bungalow war einfach unglaublich. Vom Moment der Ankunft haben wir uns einfach nur wohl gefühlt. Alles ist wunderschön kuratiert & sauber, das Essen ist wunderbar (das wurde uns sogar von unseren bengalischen Freunden bestätigt!). Danke für eine tolle Zeit!

Loved the atmosphere and the decorations. Located in a quite street but a bit far from city center. For me it wasn’t an issue. Amazing friendly staff.

Unique boutique setting & design

This is a wonderful heritage hotel in a fascinating part of Kolkata. The design of the rooms and the public spaces was so beautiful and the whole ambience was lovely. The staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful. There's a roof top restaurant where we had great dinners and breakfast is served in a characterful room downstairs. There was too much to eat! We were also given a great packed breakfast on our last morning as we had to leave very early for the airport. The transfers from and to the airport all went seamlessly. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the metro station. Shyambazaar is a really interesting part of North Kolkata, there's a local bazaar, cafes and temples to see as well as the colonial architecture of the grand houses of the area, and you can also walk to the Hoogly to see the river or catch the ferry. We loved the area and the hotel and would definitely not want to stay anywhere else.

I only had an overnight stop here, so couldn't investigate the area, but the hotel was perfect, and the dinner on the roof was delicious 😊

If you are in Kolkata this is the place to stay , the vibe , the charm , the decor , staff just wow and 10/10.
