Jungle Face Inn

One of the best places I've been in my whole trip around Sri Lanka! The place is stunning: a kind of tree house where where the minimum detail is curated. Even if it's just a couple of km away from the town this place is quite and peaceful, sourranded by a beautiful garden with a variety of plants and trees. Far from the crowd, it's a gift for any nature lover who can appreciate the birds singing, small and big squirrels and eventually some monkey playing around. The room has everything you need and the bed is so comfy that you'll never want to sleep elsewhere! The homemade breakfast was really really tasty and with huge portions. Last but not the least: the entire family is so kind and helpful and it really goes above and beyond any expectations to make you feel comfortable and welcome. When I'm arrived, knowing I didn't have dinner, they have prepared for me a the that was more likely an entire meal and when I left (sigh!) Madam came with me to the bus stop, making sure I was getting into the right bus. I'll never be able to thank them enough for such a perfect stay, I wish I could have stayed longer. Thanks soooo much for everything! I absolutely loved staying with you!

A wonderful place. Such friendly hosts who really made us feel at home. A true jem of a location, you look out right onto the trees and we had monkeys, giant tree squirrels and lots of birds right outside which was amazing. Incredible breakfasts and dinners. Right on the path too to climb up Ella rock which was very useful!

meals were excellent and the location really is like being in a "jungle" with trees and birds surrounding you! I am putting this here, however, because it's not something I didn't like - just reality - there are 70 stairs to climb to get to the room....it's worth it for the quiet and the nature, but do take this into consideration.

We are an israeli family with 3 kids and spent 8 days at jungle face inn and we can say its one of the best hosts we ever had. The family was generous and helped us with everything, rooms were clean, breakfest and dinner were great, and the best thing is the beautiful surrondings, in the middle of a jungle next to a river, with monkeys and squirles and many birds around.and last thing we loved ruby, the family's dog. We highly recommend this great and hope to come back. Thanks for the beautiful experience!

For us everything was perfect. You should know its 7-8 minutes drive in a tuk tuk to ella town. We think its fine because its more fun being in nature and not in ella's guest houses roadf

Absolutely amazing place! Feels like in the jungle. Birds and giant squirrels can observed from the house terrace. We had a treehouse with 2 bedrooms on the upper floor and open dining area underneath. Delicious breakfast with local pancakes, roti, dhal and fruits (plus eggs). Property is located few meters from the beginning of Ella's Rock trail - very convenient. Lots of stairs to access the house, which might be a problem if you do not like hiking (no problem with luggage - everything is brought for you). We loved it as it gives a feeling of being in the nature and wild.
