Jungle Face Inn

Perfect location with big windows facing the jungle, we saw monkeys through the windows. Big comfortable beds. Very helpful owner. Our kids loved it!

There's really no reception, it's mainly few cabins built into the hill. Be ready for a lot of steps because it's up on a hill.

The treehouse family villa was absolutely fantastic - two secluded rooms nextdoor to each other, one with double bed and the other with 3 singles, each with bathrooms with hot showers. It’s run by a lovely family, the son, Nethmal, could not have done more to make our stay enjoyable. We arrived by train to Ella and it’s a 500R tuk tuk ride to Jungle face Inn, then each time you want to go into town it’s another 500R tuk tuk or a fun bus ride! We loved the fact that it was set apart from the town because it is so peaceful, literally in the jungle with monkeys and giant squirrels around. The treehouse was only built recently so is of excellent standard, there is also another older treehouse nearby but it was set apart so we never even saw the other guests - perfect place for a relaxing, secluded stay.

We loved our stay here. The building has been constructed with great attention to detail and was a hidden delight. The breakfasts were amazing, local delicacies, and the one time we had a vegetarian Sri Lankan evening meal we were delighted. As we stayed only two nights we thought we should try Ella on the other evening but this was not a reflection of the standard of the home cooking. The breakfasts spoilt us for our next holiday destination as it could not compete! The staff were extremely friendly and kind.

The cobbles on the floors of the wet rooms could have been a bit more rounded so as to make them more comfortable for bare feet.

Awesome place given the location. Style, design and function was perfect for being in the rainforest and mountains. Facilities modern enough to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast was amazing and the family owners were very helpful. Highly recommend this place.

Everything was beautiful! Up in the trees, but with home comforts. The staff (a family) were wonderful! We had a lot of itinerary changes, and requested food for when we arrived late (we had the late Kandy to Ella train). Nothing was too much for them, and everything was done with a smile on their faces! Hugely recommend for SO many reasons - I’m so sad we could only stay one night, but we will be back. Exceptional place to stay with the waterfall in the background!
