"Lovely place good people. Major Parking issue car or bike. Not safe."

8.0

Location was good. The owner is very friendly and sweet. The food was great. Homily experience. A must visit place for family fun.

There is no safe parking facility I am a motor Bike rider and I keep traveling all over India. So I really got upset when I parked my bike about 500 meters from the property as advised by the property because there is no road access to the property. The next day morning someone robbed my horn and cut the wires. It was the Denali SoundBomb company horn which I paid Rs 7,500 because I mainly use it for highways rides so I had installed a good quality one. Since I stayed for 2 days the owner was sweet and arranged parking for me at a friend's house nearby the property for the second day. Please note. The owners are very sweet people. This was an unfortunate theft for me as a customer.

"good location, amazing view, but overly intrusive host"

5.0

The location of this homestay is absolutely beautiful. From the main road, the walk to the house is quite steep, but the view on the way there and from the homestay is breathtaking. The pictures don't quite do it justice. The food prepared by the host was quite decent and priced fairly, which is good because there aren't many alternative dining out options around. The view from my room was extremely nice. The bathroom facilities are basic.

Unfortunately, I also experienced the host to be intrusive, pressuring and well...very business oriented. - Already before my arrival I was inundated with pictures of possible activities, among those the Tea Plantations "Trekking", priced at IND 3000 (unsure if per tour or per person). Other travellers warned me that it was not worth it and I could easily do it on my own by renting a scooter....So, when the host asked if I wanted to do the tour, I politely declined saying that I had alternative plans, but was pressured into accepting, because she (the host) was not available on the second day of my stay...The tour definitely featured definitely some stunning views, but unfortunately it was not a "trek" but a long tuktuk ride, where we stopped at different stations. Yes, it was "all-inclusive" including lunch, the tuktuk, and tickets to a waterfall (not of interest to be honest), but I regreted seeing that private operators offer tea plantation tours INCLUDING visits of a plantation and factory for IND 1000. - There was also pressure to eat at the house, which granted makes sense due to the lack of alternatives at the location, but there was definitely an expectation and pressure to eat at the house. The food was OK. - Beware of accepting anything offered to you, it is NOT free. The host goes out of her way to offer you tea, lassis, pineapple juice (very delicious), but all of it will be on the final bill. I was even charged for the tea I was "offered" upon arrival. I didnt even want any tea, but only accepted it to be polite, so I thought it was quite rude to charge me for it. Also charged extra when I took a second tea at breakfast. I was even WOKEN UP during a nap to be asked if I wanted some pineapple juice ($$ for host), so goodbye privacy and autonomy. - The host also seemed to have a problem with me travelling alone (I accidentally indicated two people).

Incredible stay here- stunning views of the plantation and a very clean room. Unbelievably good cooking from Sylvie and babU was delightful (as were her kids). It really felt like a village stay, with neighbours coming up to the property to chat. Loved it

Only small thing is there isn’t hot water coming from the shower, but it comes from the tap/bucket which was fine as it was warm anyway!

"Bel emplacement"

8.0

"Beautiful location, clean room and amazing host!"

10.0

This homestay was honestly the best one I’ve ever been to! The location is beautiful, surrounded by a tea plantation with amazing Mountain views!⛰️🌳 The room was really clean and a good size. The host Sylvie is an absolutely incredible cook! She made us some lunch when we arrived and we ate all our meals with her as the food was too good! And she never let us go hungry giving us extra portions🥰 She is a lovely host and did our washing and booked our Ayurvedic treatment for us. She couldn’t have been more accommodating and made us feel so welcome in her home.✨ Overall amazing homestay and highly recommend! We will be back for sure❤️

"A very inviting place amongst the hills with a fabulous host"

10.0

The property is in a stunning location facing the rolling hills and many tea terraces. The family are very friendly and work hard to ensure your stay is the best. All meals are excellent and very filling. Breakfast was included but for a small, reasonable fee you can have lunch and dinner too. The host arranges trips and I went on tour with the host around tea plantation, spice plantations and waterfalls. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable and lovely and cool at night. Whilst there is a little walk from the drop off point to the accommodation, the host will stay in touch with you and meet you when you arrive to carry your luggage and walk with you to the accommodation. They will also call a taxi for you to go to the bus station for just 200 rupees. A beautiful stay and would thoroughly recommend.

The property is well located in terms of access but it is not as remote as shown in the photos. The host is great and very accessible and wants to make sure you are fed and comfortable.

The photos are from a while ago and the property and room could use some maintenance. The property seemed more isolated but it has neighbors and dogs barking and such. This is a very involved home stay and the host expects you to eat most meals here. The power goes out frequently and the wifi is not great.
