For Check-In I had to call the host via phone to open the room. After entering the room at 3, host requested to wait until 4 for his wife to come to the reception so she can scan our documents. I have to spend 1 hour like I have nothing else to do by the intent to visit the city. I overslept 10 minutes after 4, no one was at reception. I called the host and he was upset why I didn't check reception at 4 because his wife was there and left. Politic is that the customer needs to run and pull the hosts sleeves... We agreed that I should find her during breakfast. Price is too high and breakfast is not worth.

The way the access is done and the very poor place where the location is.

Description of property on Bookings which appeared to be perfect for our visit with family in the area. We were going to meet up with family and tour the region from there for a couple of days. Wife's relatives live in Pecs and it seemed like a good location. As an aside our relative stated this area was the "red light" district in years past and this property was most likely a former bordello.

The property was in NO WAY like was pictured/described. Surprised that we needed to contact the property manager to get a code to access it. Further once that happened we discovered that the request for a ground floor room was not met NOR were we informed that no room on ground floor was open. We were assigned two rooms on second floor with small winding starts to get there. Our son and SO were fine with 2nd floor room my wife not so much. After much discussion with the woman who was the manager (in Hungarian as my wife is fluent in the language so there was nothing lost in translation) she tried to say we never requested 1st floor room. Have it in writing via Bookings email. Then they tried to find us another room in the area that met our needs w/o success. My wife and I finally looked at another property in a town a short distance away where we were going to tour... so off we go after telling the manager that we were only going to have the one room for our son. Of course she was not happy and I could hear some "language" being exchanged that was not G rated. Next day we get a panic call from our son this "lady" showed up really early banging on their door demanding full payment for 3 rooms (1 rm one nite 2 rm for two). Our son speaks and understands limited Hungarian and the manager claimed to know no English. My wife discussed this with the manger who kept saying we bailed on our agreement w/o notice and we needed to pay full fare. She further went to claim we used their spa for several hours.. NO what "Spa" . What "Wellness" one could get from this place in beyond me. Yes they had ground floor rooms as evidenced by several strappin young lads and ladies exiting from them while we waited in the lobby .. oops hallway. I did see our sons room and I will admit was was nicely modern and well appointed.
