"Great stay, home away from home"

Great location, close to amenities, Liz and Graeme were great hosts, so helpful, welcoming and knowledgable. Fab cottage with plenty of space, it had everything we needed for our stay and more. Dog friendly too and little extras that went the extra mile :)

"A lovely stay in a lovely spot!"

The open plan living area was great! A very well equipped property in terms of plates, cutlery, glassware, towels etc. which I always think is important. So glad we got to use the open fire! Our hosts were very friendly and helpful from start to finish. They even gave us a lovely gift of smoked trout which sadly we accidentally forgot to bring home! Thanks for everything.

The decor feels a wee bit tired in spots, but that is mostly superficial. I’d love to come back and give you some tips for maximizing the opportunities for “cosy” decor, I really think it would bring the whole property up an extra notch.

"Lovely peaceful stay"

Gorgeous old Steading turned into cottages. Owners were very friendly and helpful, and lots of little touches to make sure you have a lovely stay, such as the owner mows a path around a field behind, he owns, so you can walk your dog! Comfy large bed and well set out cottage. Loved there was a bath. Lovely walk from property down onto Barmore Island. We saw lots of seals on this walk and whilst at the property we were met with deer nearly every morning. Definitely recommend.

The Steading is a really nice place to stay a little bit out of Tarbert. We had everything we needed from spacious parking to a generous lounge, outdoor seating and comfy bedrooms. Wifi is free, a tassimo is available and you can go for a nice walk in the area if you do not want to drive after dinner.

"Exceptional"

This is probably the best self catering accommodation we have ever stayed in. The accommodation was bright and airy , exceptionally clean and everything you could possibly need was provided for, which made our stay very enjoyable. The hosts were so welcoming and helpful , relaxed but attentive. This is a 5 star experience and comes highly recommended to anyone wanting to explore the Mull of Kintyre and the beautiful nearby town of Tarbert.
