The Pier Inn

Really excellent breakfast with good quality sausages, eggs, black pudding, hash browns, mushroom, tomato, beans etc - very good break with orange juice, tea/coffee and cereal also available 8am to 10am.

The twin bed room were were in had the thinnest mattresses possible and the entire bed frame creaked loudly with any movement. Hardly got any sleep.

What a gem. Located right on the harbour in the heart of the town. We could see the abbey peeking above the buildings across the water. Clean and tidy. Rooms provided with bottled water and lots of tea and coffee. Newly refurbished shower rooms. Breakfast delicious

I liked the property but people with mobility issues might find the stairs difficult

The location,olde worlde charm.Very kind and helpful staff.The manager and his bar staff.Also breakfast staff Elaine,Chris and Shane.The food is also very good breakfast and other meals excellent,so a nod to the chef.It is basic but clean and nice.I will come again.

My room on the 1st floor had the window looking on to pub balcony but usually went quiet early evening.

We arrived and there were no parking permits for us, we were told to pay for parking and claim it back. Very disorganised staff, apparently there had been a power cut and we couldn’t be checked in. I decided to request a refund, that turned into a farce as they couldn’t refund onto a different card and my original payment card had expired. Fortunately for me there was a manager from another pub in York who was helping out and she instantly dealt with it and got my refund. Her name was Ashley and she was exceptional.

I booked this for my dad's birthday and both my parents had a fantastic one night stay. Feedback from my parents was the room was excellent with a lovely view overlooking the harbour and the breakfast was fantastic. The ensuite room was very cosy and relaxing. You can't pick a better location for central Whitby to explore the town.

A great location. The room was lovely and bright. Amazed at the transformation from busy night time pub to clean and prepared breakfast area.

A little waiting time for breakfast. But it was excellent once we got it.

Stairs, stairs, stairs! Completely unsuitable for anyone with the slightest mobility issue. I had to descend on my bottom for fear of breaking my neck. This needs to be flagged up on advertising.
