"Excellent"

Nice cottage right in the centre, but on a quieter back alley. The pub staff is friendly, and provides temporary parking passes if needed.

The kitchen is tiny in case you want to eat in. The cottage is a bit old, but well maintained.

"Would stay again"

Great location, we were in room 7 so be prepared to climb stairs carefully and also duck your head! Was a bit concerned when we realised you could hear the live band on Friday night on every floor, but it finished just after 11pm Lovely breakfast

People outside at midnight and again from 6am

Where we were so close to the sea front and harbour. Great cooked breakfast Lovely view from window. Friendly staff Even though our room was a family room we didn't book, made it very spacious Great ensuite shower.

We were right at the top of the Inn so very steep stairs to get to the room. Wouldn't want to do more than once a day. Parking was quite away from the inn and was on a steep hill with parking permit

"1 night would have been enough."

Breakfast was amazing, staff lovely. Room was shabby with missing patches of wallpaper, bare light bulb, marks on bed sheet. The back of the bathroom door was filthy and the light pull needed replacing. The windows frames needed a wipe. Bed was comfy room was warm and view from window fabulous. It wouldn't win any prizes on 4 in a bed on TV and we wouldn't stay in Whitby again every where closes at 4pm in the week. Nothing to do.

Location, Friendliness of all staff and a HUGE and TASTY Full Breakfast !! The staff even took my bags up the winding staircase whilst I drove up the road to park. 🤩 The view of the Harbour from the Window was just stunning.

It's rooms above an Old Pub. So if you are there for a quiet break it's not for you. Squeaking old floors and doors and they have a loud band on some Friday and Saturday Nights but that's a small price to pay for everything you get for your money. Also - I did ask a couple of questions through messages on Booking.com and didn't get a reply. Tried to call too and left a voicemail but didn't get a response. Definitely can work on your communication.
