We arrived at 3pm, and we’re surprised to be rudely turned away as the room wasn’t ready.  The proprietor told us that he was cleaning mold off the bathroom window.  We were also told to remove our shoes in the hall before going to our room, which was somewhat of a surprise.  I’ve never been asked to do that before in a B&B or hotel.  We went into town and bought some slippers, and returned an hour later.  The room was ready by then, but it smelled heavily of bleach.  We were then asked to fill in a form for breakfast the following day.  We booked the B&B because of its glowing reviews, but I’m afraid we were left disappointed. 

Our host Ivor was welcoming and friendly. The breakfast menu offered a good selection and was very well presented.

There was nothing to dislike.

Lovely setting. The owner Ivan was extremely helpful and polite. Nothing was too much trouble . We had several conversations with him and he was very amiable. ( and funny !) Very clean premises. Would gladly go back there.

Food exceptional and service same. Bed really comfortable great waterfall shower

We didn't realise it was at the top of steep walk no problem for those who have a car

We had a lovely 2 night stay, Ivan was was friendly and welcoming, we stayed in room 3 which was a good size with a huge bathroom and everything was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. We will definitely stay there again and would recommend the b&b to anyone!
