Swiss Guest House

Lovely bright room with accommodating staff

Although the name states Swiss House B&B there was no breakfast provided

The guest house was perfectly positioned as a base for hiking in the national park and the views from my room of the castle and the moors were excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. Close to amenities. Informal atmosphere.

As it is on the main road and I was there on summer weekend there was a lot of traffic noise during the night.

I'd originally booked this stay with breakfast included but when I checked in I was told they'd stopped providing breakfasts about 5 months ago! The cost of my stay had been reduced but I was disappointed that no one had let me know about the breakfast situation. However, don't let the lack of breakfast put you off from staying at this guest house as there was a deli just across the road that opens at 8am every morning and provides excellent breakfast baguettes. Room was lovely and had everything we needed.

There wasn't anything I didn't like about the guest house. I didn't use the bar downstairs but it looked decent and quite popular in the evenings.
