"Our stay in a Scottish castle"

Friendly welcome Fascinating history of the castle & its owners. Comfortable bed, though awkward to get in & out, as it was in a tight alcove.

Cracked wash basin. Rainfall shower - such a bad idea Poor light for reading Lack of a small refrigerator Lack of a doormat to prevent dirt & grit coming into the room.

"Perfect stay"

Location was perfect. Off the beaten track and peaceful. Lovely gardens and a riverside walk for the dog. We used it as a stopover to break the journey to Irland but would go back in a heartbeat to.explore Galloway. Breakfast was exceptional and served in the room.
