The family in casa lizu are fantastic hosts, we are so grateful to all of them for their warm welcome and help

Everything was perfect. As they are new hosts, I would recommend that the family research some touristic activities in the area to help orientate and guide their guests eg local hiking routes

Staying with the Ruiz family was a highlight of our trip to Oaxaca. It is very special to be able to live close to and learn about three generations of a family and to be welcomed with so much kindness and attention. Thank you so much for both the accommodations, which were just lovely and the fantastic chocolate making workshop (available through AirBnB experiences).

The hospitality was out of this world! The hosts made us feel like we were part of their home—in addition to receiving delicious food, we also got to learn about the family’s weaving traditions and practice spinning wool. This felt far more personal and connective than I had imagined; an incredible opportunity to get to know more about life in Teotitlan de Valle. Highly recommend!

"Amazing experience with valuable insights into Mexican life"

We enjoyed the warm welcome and hospitable environment created by Juan Carlos, Ana and Alexis. They made us feel like part of their family, brought us to great places in the village and cooked amazing food. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

"Exceptional"

At first I was worried about what kind of place it would be because it was so cheap, but it turned out to be a wonderful house with a very kind family. I was moved by the home of the indigenous people who have been making traditional Mexican fabrics for generations. You can experience sights and experiences that cannot be experienced at ordinary hotels. I definitely want to stay there when I go to Mexico again
