Sun View Resort Kithalella

Very nice view and quiet place. The host family was very supportive and breakfast and dinner were very good as well. They have a lovely view from the terrace with good possibility to see a sunrise over little Adams Peak and Ella Rock.

The place is a bit off the beaten path so it is not very easy to get to. But i think the owners will help if needed.

Whole family is lovely and we felt like home. Comfortable bed. Hot water. They also offers loundry. The food is so tasty! The view is amazing. We also loved the location which is a bit off the city on the hill but for someone it could be a problem.

The biggest assets are the incredible kind host family and the view. Room size is also great! Know that the location is quite remote (you have to work for the view, all worth it). Walking to Ella town is still possible though. Food at the location is excellent, make sure you eat in a couple of nights! Sun View Resort consists of the one room. There's no airconditioning (even though Booking did mention this - that's why I'm writing it here), but the room remained cool enough. Laundry service was super fast. The WiFi wasn't, but that wasn't an issue. Breakfast was amazing each morning. Our family with 2 small kids totally recommend this place! Thank you for having us and the super special stay. We're lucky people :-)

I had a fantastic stay at Sun View Resort and Saman and his family really made the extra mile to make me feel as comfy as possible. Although the way up the hill is quite demanding, it really pays off with an amazing view, quietness, good oxygyn as well as free tea and cookies. A special thanks goes to Saman who is an amazing host. On Poson Poya he took me to the nearby temple to watch the evening celebrations. For the sunrise on the next morning, I was allowed to get up to their terrace to get an even broader view on Adams Peak and Ella Rock. I was served a delicious local breakfast and Saman offered to be my personal guide to hike up the Ella Rock for a small fee (5000 Rs). The rice and curry for dinner was foreigner friendly (low spice level). Moreover, the room was exceptionally clean and spacious. Lights and sockets were close to the bed. Fan and mosquito net was provided. There was hot water as well. Sun View Resort is definitely the place to go if you search for something realaxing outside the hustle and bustle. It is very very good value for money. I can recommend it 100% and would come again. Thank you Saman and your family for the great hospitality.

The hosts of Sun View Resort Kithalella do everything possible to make you happy. I had a bit of a primadonna moment at the beginning of my stay and they handeled it very well and were very accommodating. Also when I twisted my ankle they were there to help. The entire family is very welcoming. The place is tucked up on the hills facing Little Adam's Rock and Ella Rock , the room had a patio, so perfect for sunrise watching. The Room was more than spacious. I loved to wake up in the morning with nothing but sounds from the woods around me. It is a quiet and natural paradise. The breakfast and dinner were also super yummy and more than plentiful.
