Lonely Beach Resort Tangalle

Really lovely location right on the beach and beside the lagoon. Friendly staff and good food in the restaurant. Would definitely recommend.

The location is perfect if you want a peaceful stay, even though it is far from the city of Tangalle- about 5 kms. The staff is very nice, but I would not recommend the local cooking; the meals at the nearby restaurants are much better. The breakfast is overpriced, I would say, 1800 rupees. The rooms are basic, but there is hot water and the view from the rooms facing the ocean (if you manage to get them) is incredible. The other rooms are fine as well- you will listen to the sound of the ocean the whole night.

Thie view was awesome. The Resort is between the lagoon and the ocean. We saw warans, monkeys, squirrels, turtles and bats.

The payment was horrible. Booking.com showed us that the Resort will take the money from my credit card and then the Resort said that only cash is possible. So we had to take a tuktuk to get cash from an ATM and go back to the Resort. This is time and money intense. The manager wasn't helpful. On phone he only said that I'm wrong. But everything else aas good.

The view is amazing. Lovely beach, very quiet, ideal to relax.

This is literally a little paradise at a lonely beach! We really enjoyed staying there. The room was comfy and the staff very friendly! The only downside was that you weren’t able to swim in the sea due to very strong waves and currents.

Perfect spot wish a wonderful location right in front of the beach and the lagune. Our room at the middle level in the main building had a great view and a cool breeze. There were kayaks (sit-on-top) to use in the lagune for free. At sunset you could see (a few hundred meters east) the tiny baby turtles being releasef from their nests and strugling to reach the sea. The staff were pleasent and very friendly.
