RIVA B&B

This BnB is super cutely located right by the water. Michel was very kind and prepared delicious breakfast every morning. They also baked their own coconut bread which we will definitely try ourselves aswell. The terrace area with the sunbeds was our highlight, just a really great to place to hangout and enjoy the sun! You can also go for a swim there and we had an unexpected great snorkeling experience right there seeing many fish and even two manta rays. The room was nice with working AC and hot water! Isla Carenero is pretty quiet so there isn‘t much to do and not the big beaches as on the other islands, so we were happy that we had tours booked for these days. (We stayed for 3 nights) There is a good supermarket around 5 minutes by walk away where you can get all essentials! Would definitely recommend this place and stay here again! Has a lot of charme:)

As it was by the water there were quite a lot of little sand flies or mosquitoes around the area.

We had a wonderful stay at Riva, the accommodation is clean, comfortable and the perfect location. Michel was very accommodating and helpful with his tips and gave us a very comfortable stay. The breakfast was also lovely! 100% recommend staying here as it’s quiet but perfectly located to all the other islands!

Where to begin! We had the most amazing, relaxing and enjoyable stay at RIVA B&B. Michel greeted us upon arrival. He was so delightful as he shared the property facilities and amenities. Our room was right off the main deck (common area), which to me was the best room! (Of course I didn’t not view the other rooms, so I’m sure they are equally as special!) I loved coming out early every morning and walking out to the dock to take pictures of the stunning sunrise and all the beautiful animal life swimming around the dock! We definitely looked forward to breakfast every morning which is prepared by Michel himself! The variety of fruit is so fresh and sweet, the warm coconut bread melts in your mouth (especially with a little butter and jelly!) and eggs cooked scrambled eggs, fried or in an omelette. Michel will take your request daily. Oh and coffee! We agreed he made the best coffee of our trip and looked forward to it every morning which! The view at RIVAs is breathtaking. We loved our days just sitting on the deck, reading and enjoying the beautiful scenery! Michel has snorkeling gear on the deck and another guest invited me to come and enjoy all the sea life. I had never snorkeled before so this was so exciting for me! The friendships made through staying at a B&B brought such a delightful experience to our time there! The big island is just a very short boat ride (water taxi) away. Anything you need as far as how to get to the big island, grocery store, somewhere to eat, going on excursions, getting to the airport…whatever the need, Michel is so sweet and loves helping! He truly was so accommodating and making sure we had such a lovely, restful , and peaceful trip. I cannot express how truly grateful we were for our time there. Hopefully we will return in the near future!! Thank you Michel for everything!

Paradise on Earth! What an Amazing place! We never realised how beautiful the Bocas Del Toro were, but at Riva, on Isla Colon, it was just Magical! The place itself was just Heaven & Michel our Host couldn’t do enough! He was lovely! Very friendly & knowledgeable & full of great advice! He was available 24/7 for any issues or problems & even helped us arrange our transfer to Costa Rica from there! You could tell he was a Chef as his breakfast was to die for! Especially his Coffee! There was lots to do & easy to move about with the water Taxi’s. From the main island to ours was just $1. You could swim & snorkel at our jetty in the crystal clear water & the Sting rays & Star fish were there in abundance! Absolute Paradise! Everyone staying there was so friendly, it was like a home from home! We made lots of new lovely friends, Our new Bocas Family! 3 days was definitely not enough! Could have stayed there for ever! Highly recommend!

Everything! The peace the quiet the Sunsets, the sunrises! The location was great! The food was good & the people were lovely. Would definitely go back!

La ubicación es perfecta solo 1$ por persona el water taxi a isla colon. El lugar es precioso, las vistas desde el muelle... puedes tomar el sol y nadar ahi mismo y ver miles de peces de colores. La habitación bonita y limpia, la cama muy comoda. El anfitrión súper amable nos hizo sentir como en casa. El desayuno riquísimo, zumo de naranja, un bol de fruta recién cortada, pan de coco tostado con mantequilla y mermelada, café o té, y los deliciosos omelette de Michel. Sin duda muy recomendable. Ojalá volver pronto!

well we stay for for five nights. I have to say Michelle was exquisite cook. he far exceeded our expectation. was good location for us because of how we travel. very relaxed. very nice place. thank him for all his great! best, welcoming friendship, I feel that I could always go there and be happy The room was cleaned everyday. whatever we needed. we had to share a bathroom but that's okay. all was better than normal puera vida

I only have one complaint. there was a few dogs to the neighbor that howled all night& if you're not an early riser. there was a little bit of light in the room early in the morning but other than that I slept like a baby

only one piece of feedback! for the shared bathroom room, maybe add a mirror in the rooms so that people can get ready in their room and not take too much time in the bathroom.
