Hanover House Bed and Breakfast

This was a very unique experience. The house is over 100 years old and has many antiques. Kim was great as the manger and is an excellent cook! Very friendly!

Kim, our host, made us a great breakfast every day. Her attitude and concern for our comfort was was one of the best parts of our stay. Location was also great as it was near the Falls, downtown and just blocks from the casino. Good onsite parking too. Safe area.

We like to unwind by watching television. However, all tvs only have internet access, so YouTube videos were what we watched in the evenings. Kind of boring. Lol After we checked in and were showed to.our room, we were informed that the bathtub was inoperable. That was one reason we booked this particular room so felt the rate should have been reduced to what the room rates are with no bathtubs. Finally the house is old so only window ac in rooms and no ac downstairs. A little stuffy.

The Bed & Breakfast has a unique style and it looked well preserved along time. We enjoyed our stay thanks also to the precious advices given to us by Kim, who was truly kind to us. I greatly appreciated her handmade breakfast, it was delicious. Our room has furniture with a style that matched the house, looking like a room in a house more than in a hotel. This, together with Kim's kindness, made me feel at home, and made our stay at the B&B a significant part of our stay at Niagara Falls. I will come back again if I will visit the Niagara Falls, and certainly suggest it to my friends.

It was quiet and I slept well (mainly because there was only one other room occupied.) Residential neighborhood close to the Niagara Falls State Park, but not in tourist district. Parking lot behind house (but therefore no yard.) House has many paintings, decorations and knick knacks.

No Cable TV; only Tube. Stinginess about everything. Almost empty shampoo and body wash in shower, tiny bars of soap, a bottle of Jergen's lotion on top of the hall refrigerator for the floor and I had to ask repeatedly for toilet paper which was doled out. Breakfast is good but limited; one plate given with no toast, no juice. When I asked if the coffee could be stronger on day 2, she finally answered me through the closed kitchen door." I am one person and I am doing the best I can!" And that is not my problem for the amount I paid. No housekeeping in my room for my 3 night stay and I never observed any vacuuming or cleaning during my stay in the house. Kim told me not to turn the deadbolt inside the front door and to pull hard because the door sticks. On day 2, I forgot and could not open the front door and get out. The kitchen door was bolted so I also could not get out. I was alone and started to panic. I finally got out the front door. When I returned, she had taped over the deadbolt. I told her she needed to have her door fixed because it is a fire hazard. I did not detect any concern.

The house was beautiful and the owner extremely friendly. She was very accommodating when we had airline/rental car issues. She made omelets with fresh veggies from her garden. It was a beautiful walk to Niagara Falls and a very short Uber ride. The home was full during our visit and the other guest were wonderful at breakfast.

The home had 4 rooms - we had the smallest room and it was a little tight with ALL the luggage we had. This was OUR issue due to this being only 2 days out of 10 day trip. The room was fantastic, just small.

It was very easy to find and close to everything and the staff was very helpful

Property location is fantastic! Facilities were beautiful.

More complimentary offerings would have been nice (i.e.: bottled water, snacks) and the small details is why we usually choose B&Bs over luxury hotels. Additionally, it was very hot inside.

The landscaping was beautiful! Having parking in the back was great. The house was pretty and clean and we loved the tea downstairs.
