York Rose B&B

The host is very welcoming, and catered for our every need. In particular she arranged gluten free bread and oat milk for one of us, as requested. Fresh milk was also provided for the coffee and tea making facilities in our room. The room and everything else in the B&B is spotless. Finally, also the breakfast leaves nothing to be desired!

Our room was perhaps a little bit on the small side for two people and ditto bags, but we managed alright! The bungalow is directly off the main road (A-road) into York, which means cars pass by at 40mph. When you want to enter the bungalow's driveway from the main road, it is essential to signal your intentions at an early stage and slow down. You get used to that, but the first time is a little bit scary ...

Friendly atmosphere, very clean, lovely breakfast, owner was great, gave us info and directions to local restaurants and provided us with fresh milk for tea/coffee. My gluten free diet was catered for. Perfect location for York. Thank you for a lovely stay

Great traditional B&B. Ideal location for getting into York on public transport. We had the upstairs twin room which was small but perfectly comfortable. We were provided with a fan which was great as it was unseasonably hot for May. Lynne was a friendly and helpful host and the cooked breakfast set us up for our day of sightseeing.

It is right by a main road and it is strictly non smoking in any space outside. It would be helpful if this is made clear when looking to book.
