"Excellent bed and breakfast in beautiful surroundings"

Breakfast was delicious and the accommodation was superb. Carol and Bryan were fantastic hosts and made us feel instantly at home and welcome.

It is not really in walking distance of the town, but Taxi’s were easy to get.

Carole en haar man hebben zo'n smaakvol en prachtig paleisje gemaakt van wat eens een vervallen kasteel was. Heel erg knap! Ook het uitzicht is werkelijk schitterend. We hebben zelfs een hert gespot vanuit onze kamer! Carole was een fijne gastvrouw; heel relaxed en attent en ze heeft ons geholpen om nog een plekje in een restaurant te bemachtigen. De kamer is echt heel groot en zo mooi gedecoreerd. Je waant je echt in een heel luxueuze omgeving! En dan het ontbijt... ja, dat ontbijt was in één woord fantastisch! Zoveel, zo lekker, zo prachtig gepresenteerd. We hebben genoten!

Kamer mooi, ruim en heel netjes. Rustig gelegen. Prima English Breakfast op de kamer. Vriendelijke ontvangst. Uitstekende prijs-kwaliteit verhouding.

"A real treat - beautiful and peaceful, and we loved the countryside."

What did we like? Pretty much everything - Carol was delightfully hospitable, and the room (Scott Suite) was lovely, spacious and comfortable, with views of the beautiful surroundings. Our very good breakfasts were brought to the room, where there was a big table by the windows. The cashmere throw on the bed was delectable. We also enjoyed walking in the woods on the hill above the grounds.

We enjoyed the privacy and the quiet, but some people might find it a little lonely, as there were no common rooms to meet or socialize with other guests.
