Great host. Kind and Truely a gentleman who made us feel at home. Fantastic views over lake te aneu to the fiordlands. Lovely clean and spacious room, quiet and relaxing. Good continental brekky.

A bit of bad luck with the weather, but Phil made us feel warm and welcome. Breakfast was excellent and restaurants for dinner are only 10 minutes away in Te Anau. Excellent startingpoint for the boat cruises over de Milford Sound.

The views of Lake Te Anua and mountains were spectacular. Unfortunately there had been big storms in the area and we had no power for two days. Our host Phil had set up a camp stove in his kitchen, we had a beautiful wood fire to keep us warm and Phil also had a generator running so we had hot water. He made us very comfortable.

We found the pillows a little soft, so perhaps a few different types of pillows would be good.

Phil was super friendly and gave some good local tips for dining, shopping etc. We enjoyed chatting with him and feeding his sheep! The view is absolutely stunning!!

Very comfortable and spotlessly clean room in great location with a fabulous views over the lake to the mountains beyond. Phil was a wonderful host, very knowleable with information in relation to restaurants and the local area. He highlighted for us the fabulous scenic vistas to be seen on the drive out to Milford Sound, which made the journey as special as the destination. The breakfast provided was excellent. In addition Phil introduced us to his pet sheep, Chubby, which was a real treat.
