Staff are very helpful and friendly. Hearty breakfast to cater for all appetites. Bedding was very clean.

Bathroom and floor covering in the room were quite tired. Room has a damp smell, this is partly down to the age of the building.

Location great. Bed comfortable.

Check out was a little early for our needs.

The room had a dodgy lock. The bathroom was grimes in every corner the towels were crusty the food was average and warm The service was shocking The staff struggled to give any pleasantries and barely looked at us. The breakfast was in addition to the room and had I known this I would have chosen to eat elsewhere. Breakfast was served in a cramped area with sticky tables one jug of milk for every guest and again seemed an imposition to ask staff for anything. I gain from this experience that The Dog Inn is on a very popular walking trail and therefore the guests are unlikely to return visit. But I think it should be classified as a bunk house for walkers not a hotel.

Convince to the Cotswold Way Trail. Some renovations have taken place. Room was large, bed and couch were good.

Bathroom needs significant work. Black mold in the shower, carpet was dirty. Very low lighting.

Location was perfect for what we needed and dog friendly. We only needed the room as a base for one night as we were meeting friends for dinner elsewhere. The beds were fairly comfortable.

Unfortunately the room was really not up to standard. I travel all over Europe and the UK regularly and this has to be the most run down place I have stayed. It has so much potential but is in desperate need of an upgrade. Our bathroom was mouldy and dirty. The carpet was badly stained and had a very oddly placed rug which was covering an awful patch of missing carpet. I actually refused to walk barefoot as the carpet was so grubby looking. You could see daylight on the room door where parts of it are missing at the bottom. We had to turn off the over powering air freshener due to being asthmatic but then you could smell why they air freshner was so strong! It is certainly not worth £120 a night. I really wanted it to be a great little find but I wouldn't rush back unless it was upgraded unfortunately. The photos show I'm not exaggerating...
