The Dog Inn

The room was comfortable with everything we needed. We arrived very late from a shopping trip in Bristol, and this wasn't any bother. Very accommodating, nice atmosphere in the pub. Food looked nice, although we ate elsewhere.

The staff were really friendly & the food was good. We had an evening meal & breakfast the following morning. The staff were attentive & friendly & we enjoyed the food.

The whole accommodation was in a relatively poor state of repair. The drains didn't clear properly so there was water outside of our door leaking from a drain. The toilet didn't flush properly & there was a lot of water damage in our bathroom. The matresses on the beds were of poor quality (quite lumpy). The room wasn't very clean, lots of cobwebs & stains on the carpet. Just a grubby feel to the room.

We had booked in to the Portcullis Hotel, which was disgusting, so needed some new accommodation at short notice. This was a lucky accident, but turned out to be excellent.

Nothing wrong at all - we loved it.

Perfect stop on the Cotswold Way. Evening meal was good, breakfast was excellent. Room for 3 was all we needed and beds were great.

It was a little shabby but the staff, the beds and the food were just perfect for a stopover on the Cotswold way.
