"Lovely stay, thanks."

The location was good because you could easily walk to the house from the station. Also it is close to very good restaurants. Breakfast was excellent, all we could want and it tastes better being made by Julie. The room is comfortable and homely. As we were there during a heatwave, having a quiet, powerful fan in the room was lovely. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. The guest guide booklet and pamphlets are useful.

There was nowhere to put socks and underwear, so you can use your rucksack during the day. Possibly a smallish basket.

Great location helpful staff we were walking Hadrians wall so only 15 mins from the trail and perfect to see a little of Carlisle

Pleasant, friendly welcome from Julie. In addition to the usual brew facilities complimentary homemade shortbread biscuit and fresh milk were provided. The fridge was also a decent size. Room was spotlessly clean and modern with a powerful shower. Good location with the walk into town taking only 5 minutes. Car parking was also a short walk away and not costly. Can’t comment on the breakfast as we were room only.

Perhaps more shortbread !
