Beautifull bnb. Ailsa very friendly. We enjoyed beautiful surroundings and the cottage had so many treats. 😍 fresh coffee ☕ a little G and Tonic.. relaxing reading.. just lovely .

We’re return customers and love everything about the place, the host is lovely too and answered my queries before arrival.

I didn’t want to leave. Accommodation is a one bedroom bungalow-type property. You can see the sea to the east and west of the location. Mountains to the south and west. The coastal road towards Scourie More via Nedd delivers everything you can imagine when you think of The Highlands. Jurassic, monolithic, humbling and utterly breathtaking. The owners made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. If I’m lucky enough to visit the area again, I will rebook without hesitation.

Stoer and the surrounding communities are quite remote. Essential provisions are provided, but if you’re staying for more than a couple of nights, I recommend picking up some sustenance and creature comforts before arriving. There is a general store ‘Flossies’ a few miles to the south in Clachtoll and a fish & chip shack (best ever battered haddock!)

Location is stunning, views across hills and the sea are beautiful. Very easy to find and plenty of parking space. Byre was beautifully decorated and very clean, wifi and tv worked well. An excellent supply of breakfast choices provided including bread, milk and orange juice.

you are not going there to work or serve the internet, but wi-fi and mobile phone connection could be better. generally not the best mobile phone connection in the wider area

I really enjoyed staying at Old School Byre, albeit I spend much less time there than I wish I did during my visit to NC500. Lovely remote location yet easily accessible from the main road (well as main as you can get in this part of Scotland). The host was very welcoming and the accommodation was really cozy. Loved the little treats as well as the continental breakfast selection which was generous. The property seems newly done and is well furbished.

Property is very comfortable and has everything, with thoughtful welcoming goodies too. Excellent location for wonderful walks, beautiful beaches, unbelievable sights. Perfect place for a 3 night stay in fantastic location on the North West Coast. We were blessed with warm, sunny weather, so you can be mistaken for thinking you're in the carribean on days like these....Crystal clear water & white sand, gorgeous!

Can't honestly think of anything....except maybe remember in mid-summer that it genuinely doesn't get dark, even after sunset!
