Calakmul Otoch Béek

Het is een mooie ervaring om op deze ranch te verbijven. Uiteraard zijn er geen luxe voorzieningen maar dat zou je hier zeke niet moeten verwachten. De airco in de slaapkamer werkt goed, maar de andere ruimtes zijn vrij warm

Er is weinig te doen in de omgeving, wel ligt Xpujil op 10 minuutjes rijden. Tijdens de check-in (verwacht niet een receptie) sprak geen Engels maar via de telefoon hebben we wel wat kunnen vragen en regelen.

Einfache aber nette Unterkunft mit sehr freundlichen Eigentümer/ Personal. Die kleine Anlage ist umgeben von einem tollem Garten.

When visiting Calakmul, your lodging choices are slim. This one was perfectly fine for a one night stay. A basic, clean room, and off-street parking. We were given a snack bag in the morning for our drive to Calakmul. A bit expensive for what was provided, but, again, there are few alternatives in this area. Side note, the other archaeological sites in the area are pretty great too.

Good location for Calakmul if you need AC. Property requires cash pesos. No restaurants nearby.

No food unless you go to Xpujil.

Clean room and lovely lunch box

Very little water running into sink in basin..hardly enough to wash hands

Staff extremely kind and helpful, also provided us with an early morning packed lunch for free. Room surrounded by trees.

Toilet flushing requiring 10-15 minutes to reload

The garden area is nice with plenty of plants & birds, lovely to relax here in the hammocks. About 30min drive to the entrance for Calakmul and a nice restaurant within walking distance. Simple yet clean accommodation & we got breakfast to take away which was nice as well!

It’s the perfect spot to relax after a long day in the ruins. Felt safe despite traveling solo in a country where there are less and less places one can go by themselves. Roque was kind enough to provide a little breakfast each day and showed me some maps and books of the nearby places.
