Location was nice and host was friendly

AC didn’t work properly. Very little water pressure. Hot water system never worked in one room and intermittent in the other. Beds very small. Large ants in the room. Wi-Fi very very slow.

Our host was amazing. Gave great recommendations what to do in the area and surprised us with a goodie bag for a very early 4 am start!

We stayed at Otoch Beek on our way to Calakmul and found it a very good option for a stopover. The room was big, whereas the bathroom was on the smaller side. Everything was clean and our host provided us with water and some snacks for the trip to Calakmul.

Due to the construction work on the "Tren Maya" there is quite a lot of traffic on the highway. Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. Otherwise it's very peaceful. No great dinner options very close, going to Xpujil seems recommendable.

Warm and friendly welcome. Complimentary breakfast box offered which was very useful as we left at 6h for Calakmul (which you have to visit in the morning). Great local restaurant nearby

The accommodation is very clean, quiet and sufficiently equipped. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, giving us all the information we needed for our trip to Calakmul, and even gave us a welcome pack of fruit, water and sweets. The location is ideal if you want to explore Calakmul.

After seeing the rooms, we left immediately. Not according to the photos, a place you do not want to stay.

We stayed one night before visiting Calakmul ruins the next morning. The host was very friendly and gave us tips and recommendations for our trip to Calakmul ruins, Facilities were better than expected (considering the simplicity and the appearance of the surrounding area), with a fridge, bottled water, toiletries... and sufficient for a overnight stay Provided us a small lunch box at checkout, which was more than welcome.

Many insects at nighttime, difficult to keep off, despite closed door and moskito net over bed, There is not much around in Becan, so if you want to have dinner, better eat before arrival.

Great service! We forgot to book a tour to Calakmul on time and got help with booking a taxi drive late in the evening along with some tips, even got a lunch box for the next day!

It was a bit difficult to get to the accommodation from the ADO bus station, but with a car is fine. Fortunately we were dropped off at the bus station by the kind owner when we left.

This place is great value and in a good location for visiting Calakmul (although it is still a further drive of almost 2 hours). Basic but comfortable accommodation, nice touches such as a 'comfort kit' in the bathroom and a packed breakfast given to us the night before as we were leaving early. Definitely recommend.

Nothing, although there was a misunderstanding with the provision of coffee / hot water in the morning when we left (it was very early), but probably down to miscommunication on my part (basic Spanish).
