Mareluna Penthouse - Luxury Suites

Bright and airy suite. Two good sized bedrooms. Large wraparound balcony with panoramic views of Salerno, mountains and sea. Excellent WiFi. Perfect location for exploring Salerno , right by the seafront esplanade.

Access to shared bathroom for the two rooms was through the main bedroom. Outside furniture and cushions were tired and worn. Air conditioning was not very effective.

Location was good, no view of the sea as mentioned in the description, master bed was good, twin beds were small, just one pillow per person was provided.

The space was central for our needs and the balcony was very nice. Also, our host was very friendly and communicated very well.

I will begin by saying on this trip I was definitely the problem child visitor. I had changed my travel plans at the last minute to make the stay in Sorento, I didn’t install WhatsAp on my phone until the day before my arrival so I was out of touch with them until the day of my arrival, and then I behaved like an irresponsible teenager and ran around Salerno ignoring their messages. They needed to remind me three times to sent copies of our passports, which I did not get around to doing until the morning of my departure. Through it all they were never anything but completely polite and patient with me, for which I am very appreciative indeed. In terms of location the rooms are perfectly placed for rail travelers, a 5 to 10 minute walk while dragging bags. From there both the barborside walk and the center of town shopping and restaurants are a block in either direction. The room itself was beautiful and spacious with a wonderful balcony view of the city. From a cost stand point, these were far larger and more attractive than almost every other room I’ve had these prices.

Mareluna Penthouse Suites communicates with their clients based on WhatsApp. Booking.com does not mention this, and should. The rooms are top floor bedrooms scattered around several buildings in the local area. That was not a problem once we knew that was the situation, but it should be clearer in the Booking.com description.
