Donner Lake Inn

Donner Inn is a cute little Bed & Breakfast with comfy beds and a delicious breakfast. Staff was super responsive to questions.

Very small but cozy room. The carpet could have been cleaner. When I came for breakfast, there were only two dry pastries with cheese and ham — I’m not sure where the “great breakfast” that others mentioned was. After we checked out, I asked the owner if we had left anything behind in the room, but she never responded. Of course, she’s not obligated to reply, but a simple “nothing was found” would have been appreciated — just to leave with peace of mind. On the bright side, they kindly allowed us to check in earlier — big thank you for that! Also, the location is very convenient

Super cosy cottage in the moddle of the woods! Restaurant in walking distance.

My husband and I stayed one night passing through Truckee to get to the Bay Area. The room was cozy and very comfortable. The property is walking distance to the Pub at Donner Lake, and right across from the Little Truckee Ice Creamery (incredible ice cream). It was a great place to get a few hours rest.

The towels were musty smelling and I needed a shower when I got home! The room was much smaller than it appeared in the photos. The hosts were nice and responded to our needs in a timely manner.

What a great place to stay! If you like a clean, neat, quiet place to stay with a creek running outside your window, this is the place to stay!
