MONSOON Eco Resort

Lovely guesthouse that's had a lot of care and thought put into into everything. Beautiful and peaceful place to relax and unwind. Food was delicious as well. Best designed outdoor bathroom. Any issues we brought up were immediately attended to. Definitely recommended.

This is a matter of preference (it wasn't an issue for us) but the one bedroom chalet has the toilet/shower downstairs, The route to the bathroom from your bedroom upstairs is in public view. Something to consider if you have an issue using the bathroom at night and have mobility issues or don't want to risk being observed enroute. Also coming out after a shower and wanting to go up and change in your room. As mentioned before, this was absolutely not an issue for us but just thought I'd mention as some people might want to factor this in before booking.

I loved my stay at Monsoon Eco Resort 💛 what a precious hidden gem - you will be staying in one of the most beautiful places that is so calm and peaceful- there is nature in abundance with the kindest owners and staff members. It feels like an oasis - nearby is the beach , a lovely local restaurant and the best massage therapist I’ve ever had . Vishy is an incredible host and it feels like you come as a stranger and leave as a family here 🌴🌴

Es war ein wunderschöner und ruhiger Ort, es hat uns super gut gefallen und wir sind auch ein paar Tage geblieben. Der Ort ist ideal, wenn man Ruhe sucht, die Natur bewundern oder ruhig surfen möchten.

Mein Freund hat gesagt, dass der Preis zu hoch war, aber ich fand es ok, weil es mir sehr gut gefallen hat. Die Wäschereinigung hat gut geklappt und sie haben uns bei allem gut weitergeholfen, beim Organisieren der Exkursionen und Tuk Tuk.

The hotel is stunning,. the room was massive and so beautiful We only stayed one night and it was lovely to just relax there. The lady who owns it is lovely. We walked to the beach and it's only 5 minutes away. It very quiet and quite remote so if you didn't have a car/bikes it might be difficult getting around. The food was great

We vonden het pure schoonheid. Het huisje was groot en met smaak en oog voor detail gebouwd en ingericht. De buitendouche vonden wij geweldig. De host was heel vriendelijk en het ontbijt en avondeten was heerlijk. We vonden het heerlijk om in de tuin te relaxen en tot rust te komen. Heel zen allemaal.

I think it’s a beautiful property, the food is good.

I dislike the fact that the host lied to me about my accommodation two months in advance. I had revise my booking dates instead of staying on the 15th to the 16th. I changed it to the 14th to the 15th. booking sent me a message that said it had been approved. I had emailed the host and they said it was approved. I had several documentation saying it was approved but when I showed up somebody was in The room that I booked. I had nowhere to go. It was 5:30 at night. My next day was at arugam Bay, which is about 20 to 30 minute drive away so I didn’t have the possibility to go there and their Internet wasn’t working so I was unable to cancel that booking. I told them that meant that I would be charged three times not only for the day that they had not been able to revise also, the day that I originally had and the place that I wasn’t able to go to because of this issue . They told me they wouldn’t charge me for one of the nights only the night that I was staying at their friends .The Internet wasn’t working at the neighboring hotel that they helped me find with their friend And I was unable to unlock my SIM card so I also didn’t have my own Internet and data. The next day I go back to their place and the Internet and their dining area doesn’t work, but it does work in my room. My fan on my last night stopped working in the middle of the night so I was burning up and had to sleep outside because it was too early to get a response back from them. Although they really could have a decent place it’s just poorly run and I don’t like being lied to, and then being told in my face that they actually never said that it’s gaslighting at its highest level.
