Highfield House, Parracombe, Modern B&B

If you want peace and quiet , gorgeous views and attentive hosts , this is the place for you. A most enjoyable stay at a ‘top end’ B&B. Sustainable and ecological considerations at the heart of their business. The meadow flowers were a joy outside our room. Lovely fresh breakfast and well equipped kitchen was a real plus. Jaye was most knowledgeable about the area and it was a pleasure talking with her. Lovely pub a 2 minute walk. Great food and sweet pub courtyard to enjoy. Easy reach of many attractions.

Absolutely nothing to dislike.

The location was superb. The panoramic view from bedroom windows was amazing, especially looking at the sheep and cows on the hill top. The room and the furnishings were spotlessly clean. The en-suite was very spacious, with plenty of room and was the best we have used in our many stays in North Devon. The dining table set up, especially for our room, was not only very handy but also so convenient. We were early risers and the breakfast set up before hand was so useful to us that we were able to just get up, eat and go. Jaye was a very pleasant person and a lovely host.

Good location for exploring the area. Lovely hosts. Spacious accommodation and great having a microwave! Immaculate. Glorious views. Breakfast provided (cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit and home-made bread with use of a toaster) lovely fresh coffee in the room.

Sehr schönes Quartier. Modern und mit allem was man braucht ausgestattet. Die Lage ist ruhig und die Lage toll. Zentral für Ausflüge, für Wanderungen und das Fox and Goose liegt gleich um die Ecke mit gutem Essen. Die Inhaber haben uns mit tollen Tipps versorgt und waren sehr freundlich.

Das Frühstück beinhaltet kein Englisches Full Breakfast. Es gab frisches Obst, Croissants und Yoghurt mit allerlei Ceralien. Vielleicht könnte man das bei der Einstellung in der Beschreibung zum Quartier erwähnen

Extremely clean, facilities perfect and exactly as described. Location lovely, village gorgeous. Quiet and peaceful. Really lovely hosts, committed to providing a high class quality service but with an informal environment.

To be honest nothing I didn’t like but it would be lovely to have a freezer to freeze ice blocks, and an oven would be amazing! As local pub not open every night for food. We weren’t sure how to dispose of our rubbish- perhaps a note in the folder as to what to put in which bin would be beneficial?

Shower was fantastic, very clean room, lovely breakfast & comfortable bed with great views over the hills.

Really enjoyed our stay but if I had to mention a slight down side it would be the sound bleed from the kitchen area and from upstairs. Didn't disturb our sleep but it would depend on the behaviour of the other guests your sharing the space with.

Lovely B&B in Parracombe with brilliant hosts in Jaye and Keith, who were very welcoming and helpful. Fox and Goose pub is just down the road for good food and beer. Coastal path is a convenient short journey away
