Highfield House, Parracombe, Modern B&B

Everything, the location was excellent. The room was lovely and very clean. Breakfast was perfect, fresh pastry and fruit were lovely. The best bit about our stay was Heddon and how dog friendly the b&b is, our dog Rusty loved waking up every morning and playing with Heddon.

Nothing, everything was perfect, we cannot wait to come back!

We loved our week stay at Highfield House. Jaye was lovely - she was very informative and welcoming. The continental breakfast was good, with a different pastry each day, lots of fruit, a selection of cereals and yogurts in our own personal fridge. Also homemade bread and a toaster with jam, marmalade, honey and Marmite. The view of the valley from the bedroom was beautiful, the bed was huge and very comfortable, and the walk in shower was great. The local pub was friendly and served up really good dinners. The local shop and cafe is community run by volunteers, and offers a good selection of drinks and pasties, and lots of essential groceries. We also loved the location, as there's lots of local countryside to explore, and it's just a short drive to places like Lynton and Lynmouth, Heddons's Mouth and Valley, and Barnstaple, with a bus that comes straight through Parracombe village linking Lynton and Barnstaple.

Very clean and spacious accommodation. Spotless kitchen/breakfast area with excellent facilities. Great communications from the host. I really appreciated knowing beforehand that they have a large friendly dog and them keeping it inside when I arrived. Good access from parking down a safe outdoor flight of steps to the two B+B rooms. Lovely views.

Nothing at all. It was fabulous and plan on returning.

The room was very well presented and very comfortable. The communal kitchen was very clean and well stocked. The rear patio area was well maintained and pleasant. Jaye was lovely and welcoming.

The outside front looked tired and poorly maintained with dirty garage doors and not a welcome sight on arrival.

Lovely B&B in a quaint village in the Exmoor National Park. The host, Jaye, was very welcoming and friendly and has the cutest dog. The room was perfect: clean, spacious and comfortable, with a nice shower and an amazing view. Jaye has an eye for the detail, all from the room decor to the breakfast that offered a lot of variety. It is perfectly organised: before arriving, we received directions to the B&B and it is self check in with a lock box. Also, the area is just lovely, we did a nice walk/ hike and loved it. We will definitely come back.
