Beautiful location. Liked the room set up.

Room needs a deep cleaning.

We liked how quiet the area was. It was clean and a good value

Loved location, the room was spacious, lots of counter space. The staff was very accommodating. We walked into town every night. So comfy.

There was nothing I did not like.

A newer hotel with beautiful grounds. The room was actually a suite.

Being on Lake Erie is very nice. Kelleys island is quaint and well worth a visit. Interior is in need of updates and new carpeting. Lighting is very poor, especially around the pool. Understaffed. Bicycles used to be available here and bugs used to be swept from the exterior by former owner of property.

The room had an odor which we noticed right away. Then the toilet bowl definitely had not been cleaned for a while. The carpeting had so many stains so should be replaced or scrubbed. The pool had a black ring around the bottom and needs to be addressed. The island had a scheduled power outage from 4am til 12pm and there was no back up generator to run lights or air conditioning. We therefore could not shower in the morning.

On arrival our room wasn't ready due to the fact of only 1 person working. She had it ready in about 20 minutes though. The exterior needs a good power wash. Room size was great. Bed was harder than I would like.

I wouldn't know because I canceled at 10 AM because my fiancé became ill. Didn't get to see the room called the hotel to cancel and they still sent me messages as if I were going to be there.

We have been staying each summer at the Venture Resort for years! About two years ago, it was sold to another owner and since then, it has not been the same. Although the rooms were still nice and clean this year, the pool was not! The pool needs to be maintained better. In addition, there were so many cobwebs around the pool chairs, tables, and on our balcony. Needs some major power washing. We want this place to keep its charm- it's always been so beautiful. But it needs more attention.

The Venture Resort has a great location, comfortable rooms and a nice pool and hot tub, and we’ve stayed here a number of times over the years. However, over the past two years there’s been a noticeable decline in the upkeep of the grounds, the building exterior and the hotub and pool. The building exterior, stairwells and balcony chairs were covered in bugs, the once lovely grounds looked neglected, the large pool area had very worn furnishings with only one umbrella and the pool and hot tub were quite dirty. It was sad to see this once beautiful property looking so run down. On the flip side, the Venture Resort still has it’s great location, our room was very clean and the staff was helpful and friendly.
