The Willowbrook Golf Hotel At Split Rock

i think the place is great, it was very calm which is what i was expecting and the check in was quick. i was also offered transportation from the building i was to the main building which has all restaurants, we brought our bikes so it was pleasant to ride along the road within the woods, we will probably return soon

During my stay there went towels or wash cloths or bath mat for my room It was dirty I called 4 times and talked to girl at front desk. She said she was sending them right up Not I called the 4 time at 5:30 am on Saturday morning , someone showed up with one bath towel The room had no ice bucket or coffee maker had to buy a coffee maker and coffee and wash cloths at Walmart There were black spider in bathroom and I stepped on it and at least 50baby spiders came out of it that I killed and silverfish on my bed I killed The room smelled like smoke and mildew The fire alarm in the front hallway was going off the entire 3 days I stayed there I am not happy with the accommodations

The resort was great, location was great. Only issue was rhat we could not get towels. They didn't have any ready when we got to our room. I requested them twice that day and again the next morning before i got any

After reading reviews I didn’t have much optimism going into it, however I really I thought it went great. To be fair it was basically just a room to sleep in for 2 nights. The place is definitely outdated but I like that stuff reminds me of my childhood. The room was huge it had a full kitchen. Dishwasher, oven, stove, etc. when we walked in the room was freezing which I loved. The room also had a jacuzzi. Check in was at 4, we got there like 4:30 everything was ready. When we first got there some guy complained he waited 20 minutes for his room to be ready but don’t show up at 4 on the dot. You do that your just asking to be disappointed. I’m sure running I think it’s 6 buildings isn’t easy and not everything is gonna be done on time. Have some patience. The guy at the counter didn’t seem like he really knew what was going on when I told him I wanted to pay in cash but the lady who came over to help him worked it all out and everything was cool. They did say I need exact change which I had so that wasn’t an issue at all. They were friendly thought so no complaint here. Giant parking lots so you’ll be good with the parking. It was relatively clean, like i said it’s outdated so it’s gonna kinda look dirty plus it’s in the woods so you’ll see bugs I’m sure. I didn’t see bugs in my room at all. On the deck I saw spiders. The wifi was good for me. Honestly I’d stay again for the price I paid it was way better then what we expected. Give it a shot.

We had a tv in loving room that didn't work. Called the first night to get someone to fix. They said they were sending someone and after a hour and half still nobody we went to bed. Call in the morning to get fixed after an hour and half we left. Came back still wasnt fixed. Called again they said they were sending someone. Waited 3.5 hours and left for dinner. Came back called again. They said someone came to fix but nobody was there. So the whole trip no tv.

Very quiet place in the woods, we had a comfy but retro room. Check in was a little delayed but it's understandable seeing that it was on a high demand season and they had a lot of customers checking in. We didn't try the food, but the stay was very good for my and my partner. We will come back since I heard good stories about their mexican restaurant.

The bed was very comfortable & the linens very nice. Our blinds did not function properly & were missing from the balcony door. The room could used a refresh, but it was adequate for what we needed. Shower was very small but the tub was huge. The sofa was Very Firm & uncomfortable, but the TV was large & had a good selection of shows.

Understaffed. Dirty. Run down. Please save yourself the agony.

It was good, the rooms were comfy and clean, the service was very helpful and the area is quiet and very very green. We loved our stay and will definitely come back

Needs a major update. Uncomfortable furniture and bedding. Took forever to check in.
