Hotel Mousai Puerto Vallarta - All Inclusive - Adults Only

My wife and I stayed here for 12 days over our 6 year anniversary. While the rooms, views and some of the staff are incredible, we had some serious issues with our stay. Firstly, upon check in - my wife found a used condom underneath a chair. It was apparent that the room was not cleaned appropriately and this gave us a very bad taste in our mouth. While they changed us rooms, we still questioned the cleanliness of the property and what protocols were in place. This took over a day to sort out and was very frustrating as it was disturbing for us. The second issue we had was with our restaurant reservations. We had made several reservations that were never confirmed properly, and we were forced to scramble last minute for dining options on 3 occasions. We were mislead about the dining at Karuma, as we were told the only thing not included when spending the extra $45pp was the “Prime” items. This was not the case and several items that drew me into the restaurant were not included. The staff was also extremely rude at times, not serving us and flat out ignoring us despite tipping well. The food was also very inconsistent, even at the same restaurants. We had several fantastic meals and we had some very bad meals at the same restaurants with the same dishes. The property has a lot of potential but overall we did not enjoy our stay. We travel to Mexico 2-3 times a year and this was our worst experience to date from a 5 star resort. We enjoyed the rooftop pool, all inclusive package and our corner suite. However we were highly pressured to attend a sales pitch everyday until we finally did. The food was nothing special and if you don’t have the package you will pay an erroneous amount of money ($26.00 a water). Lastly they had a wedding reception there right below our balcony on a Monday night until 11pm. Not a weekend and the music was blaring my room was shaking my husband and I couldn’t even talk it was so loud. The front desk didn’t care but for $900 a night your guests should be your first priority. I would never go back. I didn’t appreciate their lack of concern or respect for us.

Amazing property and service! Best hotel in Puerto Vallarta

Never stayed at a five diamond resort before and not sure I’ll ever be able to not stay at one again. The service was next level, food was out of this world good, and the personal butler service was awesome. Will definitely be returning to Hotel Mousai in the future!

Staff were amazing and the room was great, with an exceptional view. Facilities and restaurants were good as well. Our room service guy Danny was phenomenal.

Should have a sauna and a steam bath with no charge. Pasta size at Noy Restaurant a joke on non-inclusive.

Everyone was so happy, helpful, had a smile on their face. The FOOD was amazing was not like the all inclusive generic food you usually get at all the hotels. Rooms were cleaned and turned down nightly with chocolates lights dime and soft music. This hotel is definitely well worth every penny spent to stay there. Definitely will stay there again.
