We stayed one night at UMi Tulum and wished we had more time! The Oceanfront Master Suite with Rooftop Pool was stunning—spacious, naturally serene, and with unbeatable beach views. The vibe was intimate and relaxing, perfect for unwinding. Great location, great hospitality—shout out to Carlos, you rock!

Tous les ingrédients sont là mais il manque ce petit plus qui rendrait cet endroit magique Notamment quelques travaux d’entretien dans les chambres (traces de fuites d’eau dues à la climatisation, ouverture/ fermeture porte terrasse, humidité salle de bain,…) L’équipe est vraiment efficace et réactive, mais la encore, se faire déloger de la plage sous prétexte qu’on n’avait pas réservé le transat… c’est vraiment moyen.

I will never return to this hotel. I had a very bad experience there, the worst level of hospitality I have ever encountered in my life.

Great location. Comfortable and modern room but missing any wardrobe to hang clothes or any drawers. Restaurant menu is very limited and almost no options for vegans.

First, I want to commend the exceptional wait staff, whose attentiveness and welcoming nature stood out. The food and drinks at the hotel/beach club were lovely, and the stunning architecture and interior design met my expectations as a designer myself. However, my overall experience was marred by management issues. Upon arrival, I was informed I had been “upgraded” to a beachfront room with a private pool, which turned out to be a downgrade—priced roughly £50 less per night than my original Master Suite booking. Moreover, UMI operates as a party hotel, which wasn't clearly communicated. My friend and I love to rave, but the noise level was excessive. On New Year’s Eve, the party stretched from 6 PM to 1 AM, followed by an afterparty from 5.30am to 3 PM the next day, leaving us with over 24 hours of no sleep. Despite multiple complaints to management, to Jorge the Director, the noise continued daily and nightly. The most distressing incident occurred when we returned after a night out to find the hotel locked, with no staff available. After two hours of trying to gain access, we had to gain access through another hotel but there was no follow-up from management beyond an apology. This incident caused us to miss a privately booked excursion and additional costs. Other issues included a flooded shower, no bathroom curtains despite the visibility, and no hairdryer which are basic amenities.

Not Worth the Money!! Save your money and find a place that actually values its guests! From the lack of basic amenities like WiFi doesn’t work in the room at all! No hair dryer, to the indifferent service from the staff, it feels like they rushed to open without considering what guests actually need for a comfortable stay.

It felt like a major ripoff, especially when you consider the lack of essential services and attentiveness. To finish my nightmare experience, the unprofessional service I received from Karen at the front desk. I specifically asked her to arrange a ride to Cancun airport, but she mistakenly sent me to Tulum airport instead. Despite my clear instructions, she seemed confused and didn’t double-check my request. As a result, I ended up at the wrong airport and missed my flight, which caused me a great deal of stress and additional costs.
