We were on the second floor. About 5 or 6 in the morning we could hear stomping on the floor above us. Very irritating. We stay here often and was the worst food I have ever had at a restaurant. The ribs were terrible. We did not go there for breakfast. We were in the most northly part of the building and the girl told us parking out front was just as close as parking out back. She couldn't have been more wrong. I just got a new hip so we finally realized it was much closer to park in the north lot where our room was. Worst stay at Thumper ever. We heard it got worse with the new owner a year ago. ???
We were in room 313. The room had an odor. The bathroom ceramic floor had several cracked tiles. The bathtub faucet wobbled and never completely turned off so water ran all night. The sink faucet sprayed sharp streams of water so that it splashed all over the counter and our clothes. It took five minutes running water to get it hot. The bathroom light switch included the fan which was so noisy it would wake anyone sleeping. Twice I stood at the desk 7-8 minutes before someone came. The price we paid per night did not reflect our experience at your hotel!
It was a quiet and beautiful place to stay. I was there for a wedding didn’t much like that they had no air conditioning or ceiling fans in the reception area. It was unbearably hot in there. But other wise she had a beautiful amazing wedding with delicious food
The waterslides in pool not open. To be fair the electricity went out in pool area. Then later on in the whole hotel. Then next morning only one of the 2 waterslides were open. Kids were disappointed.
Loved the service. Front desk, restaurant! The only thing I disliked was the smell of weed on our floor in the hallway. I know it is legal but...air freshners.

This place is in pretty rough shape. Our room was extremely humid, had an odd smell, had several flies flying around inside, and just felt gross. This is the kind of place where you'll want to wash your clean clothes after letting them sit inside the hotel room for a night. I had higher hopes based on some of the reviews, but we were very disappointed. I would not come back.

Property is poorly lit. Rude and disengaged staff and desperately needs remodeled. Definitely not worth the money and a poorly represents Ottertail County. Profit over costumer comfort & enjoyment seems to be the main concern of the property.
