The Artisan at Tuscan Village, Salem, NH, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

I wanted to like this place so much. Online, this place is spectacular. In my 20s when I slept well I think this place would be spectacular. Place is awesome during the day, however at night may be a different story. I'm sure the place is great with quiet neighbors but unfortunately that was not the story with us. I will start with the room is beautiful, very comfortable. Very comfortable bed. Place was very clean. But now some cons, the floor was loud til about 2 a.m. Doors are heavy to the rooms so you can hear them "slam" each time someone leaves and it sounds like its right outside the door. My neighbor although they were just talking and laughing (maybe a bit louder than usual but not terrible), I could hear their entire conversation til 2 a.m. You can hear people walking down the hallway very clearly. The air conditioner is very loud except that was welcomed when all I wanted was some sleep and instead could only hear my neighbors talking. Also if you are sensitive to fragrances, you are welcomed with a fragrance upon entering, however the room was fine, no fragrance. So I wanted to just leave a review. I bet this place is fine for some people but if you are looking for a good night's sleep this may not be the place since it is so "loud." And for the money I'm paying for this room I would like some sleep.

Was disappointed, found room nice but, bathroom floor looked like washed with dirty water, ac extremely noisy and fridge never got cold. Every time went by front desk staff in conversation and i did choose not to wait and complain

Great property. Kids loved the pool. Nice lobby area and beds were comfortable.

One night stay on our way to Maine. Hotel is beautiful! Heated pool open until October. Various shops and restaurants nearby. Mattress is firm. Room and bathroom are spacious and clean. Recommend!

The actual hotel is nice. Very nice rooms and amenities but the service was subpar. I had a few issues that were not handled very well. I had to move rooms during my stay and they put me in a dirty room without towels or anybody other basic hotel needs. I was also not told about the parking charge prior to checking in, not a big deal but should have been told. The area is pretty and it is a good spot to work from as there are restaurants and shopping in the area but definitely will not be returning.

The noise from the establishment below the my room until passed 1 am and the receptionist was not very friendly and was impatient with me when I was trying to look up The booking reference. The room rate was very high and not for this category of hotels the equivalent to high end hotel in London. I complainant about the noise and the receptionist gave me an additional hour to checkout and coffee vouchers. I never got the coffee vouchers!!
