The Coolest Hotel

Room was gorgeous, lovely view of the sea. The breakfast in the morning was a nice touch, along with a welcome drink.

Nothing, it was wicked! Also a cool little cocktail bar across the street.

Overall aesthetic was nice. The location was nice although I came during a time where only surfing is allowed at the beach. The staff was nice even in the restaurants. Bar railside next to the hotel was great.

The interior design is super cool and the place has a lot of potential.

- For such a new hotel, it seemed surprisingly dirty and old. Carpets in the hall completely stained, lots of marks on the wall, dirty towels (bleach stains). All three nights we were given robes with broken belt loops. Outlets next to bed already loose and wires have to be fiddled with to work. Curtains dirty. - Really tiny room. We booked the second largest room class but it was still minuscule, by far the smallest room we stayed in over two weeks in Korea. - Bathroom makes no sense. Tiny stall for toilet with minuscule sink — but this sink is given no towel or even soap? The shower itself is cool but completely absurd, the room just gets wet and the water doesn’t really drain. No bath mat. - AC was broken when we got there and room completely stuffy upon check in. Took an hour to fix. - Given the tiny room, the exit sign above the door is basically right by the bed and shined super brightly at night. When we asked for it to be dimmed they said it probably wouldn’t be possible but then it was. - There seems to be a device limit for the wifi which is never discussed. Once 3+ devices are connected it just won’t allow any others to (and if there are 3 mobiles / computers connected, then the TV in the room which is wifi enabled doesn’t work). Instead it prompts us for password and when we asked the front desk they just kept saying “there’s no password.” - Location isn’t great. Advertised as in Haeundae Beach but it’s a 25 minute bus there or on train. This isn’t the hotel’s fault but something I wish I’d known. And while it seems like a beach hotel, you have to walk around the train station so while it’s within view, it’s still a ten minute walk. Worse though, given that the hotel advertises itself as a beach hotel, when we asked for towels to go to the beach the hotel said they couldn’t be brought there. That’s not really acceptable for a beach hotel. - Front desk refused to give us more than two towels at a time. Did not seem interested in answering questions.
