Charles Hope London Croydon

I would not stay here again due to no staff on site from Charles Hope, no fans, too hot and a broken bin. Requested help numerous times and no one came with a fan or to fix the bin even though they promised to resolve this. Avoid, book a hotel instead around the corner like Jurys Inn or Leonardo. See below pros and cons: Cons: - No fans; rooms were permanently 30degrees, day and night. Stifling. Requested a fan via calling and via the messaging system, promised one but no one delivered one over 4 days. Very poor! Survived on ice creams/buying ice from Sainsburys! - Bin lid was permanently open in the kitchen, broken. Advised this would be replaced, no one came in 4 days to replace it. It is warm inside, food will start smelling! Very bad. - There is no one on site from Charles Hope. If you have any problems, you call them or send a message. The people who answer the call are rude and unhelpful. - HOT!!!!!! Do not visit in Summer!!! Too hot!! And overpriced in my opinion. - Checkin staff are rude - the apartment is leased to Ten Degrees. As soon as I mentioned I had booked a Charles Hope apartment, I felt like an inconvenience and the reception team upon checkin were rude and unhelpful. I had already checked in online, they then asked to see my ID again and I was also allocated a different apartment, than the one I had been texted. Not a nice experience upon checkin. - Reception staff shouting out your apartment number upon checkin - not safe as a lone traveller! - Not provided any information about what was onsite, where anything was, nothing. I asked again at reception another day to get this information. - Plates, pans and cutlery are very dirty. Had to wash everything I used, before using it. Not pleasant. Pros: - Location is very convenient; right next to East Croydon station. - Lots of amenities/restaurants locally; opposite Box Park and next to Nandos. - Communal spaces are quiet and have AC. - Plenty of coffee pods provided.

Location was ideal as right by East Croydon train, tram and bus station. Amenities were great and no issues with the building.

The apartment was a bit characterless and felt a bit cold and unwelcoming.
