This is a combination of booking.com problem and the property's problem. This is the second apartment rental in the Miami/Ft Lauderdale area where you book the room on booking.com, pay for the room on booking.com, then the property manager texts/emails you a link to a third-party form (more on that later) where they require an image of your government ID, usually drivers license, a photo of yourself, and your credit card information. Until you supply all that information, you cannot proceed to get the door code of the apartment. There is no other option. In the "fine print" on booking.com there was a mention of showing your ID, which I had no problem with that, but the property management company would not have someone on site to meet me. They insisted that I provide the image. The third party company taking this information is a 30-some person start up in the Bay area and reading their security qualifications, I can tell you as an InfoSec professional, they don't have anything. They tout that they have these security reports, but they are for Google Cloud Platform. They have no attestations that their platform is security. So my message to booking.com is that you need to figure this out because I will never book another apartment again on your platform unless I can cancel the reservation if the property manager hits me up for this nonsense.

Awesome location… very quiet

The location was great.

Both Management and Booking .com customer service is terrible. You can't speak with anyone to resolve issues. I would not recommend booking.com or apartment bearing the Lowkl name. Be afraid, be aware and stay away
