Hanasa Pu Luong Resort

Things we loved: +Staff are lovely - attentive, good English + food is delicious, menu is extensive + Housekeeping was great +Fan and AC in room were great (check-in it says be prepared for issues, but we didn't experience any) +Bed was super comfortable (little hard which was nice, not nearly as hard as most beds in Vet Nam) +Plenty of pillows (extra fluffy) +View from our first floor room was spectacular - directly overlooking the rice field terraces. +The bathtub is very comfortable +The hotel is within the community. A smile, hello, a wave, a sturdy pair of shoes and an adventurous spirit will get you out and about to explore the many lovely local spots just down or up the mountainside.

The value for the price is a miss in our opinion, and the description of the room compared to what we experienced didn't match. We wanted privacy to fully enjoy our time there, especially with a private pool, but all windows have views to neighbors' balconies, so we kept th curtains closed. The description said 'private entrance and private pool' - so what they mean is no one can use it, but it's not out of view. Be aware the description said 'soundproof' and while it is extremely quiet, what they mean is, the rooms are made of concrete (vs wood, as most homes are in this area of the Thai minority group). We heard our neighbor above closing their door, moving the chair, etc. There are no blackout curtains per the description. There are beautiful beige curtains that let in the morning light. We wished for bicycles (not scooters) to use on the mountainside as it's very steep and expansive, but these are not available and staff didn't provide any recommendations. Final note: upon arrival, we were asked to pay the full stay. This was off-putting and we did not experience it anywhere else in Viet Nam nor in general at any hotel. Go here with correct expectations, and you'll be very pleased with the experience.

The view was amazing, and the property was beautiful. It was a relaxing oasis in a small village over looking rice fields and mountains. It was the perfect getaway to enjoy an authentic experience

We loved this resort,and the people were amazing. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, and I absolutely would return. The owners are new, and bend over backwards to ensure that you enjoy your stay. The area is stunningly beautiful, and the village restaurants and bars (just a short stroll up the road) are staffed with warm and welcoming people. However, there are several inaccuracies in the description of the resort on expedia. We attribute this to a misunderstanding/confusion in translation from Vietnamese to English. First; there is only one shared swimming pool at the resort, and it adjoins the restaurant. There are three rooms available with private, outdoor pools, but they are not for the general use of all guests. There is not an indoor pool; there are rooms with a large indoor bathtubs. There is not a public, indoor swimming pool. There is no games room with billiard and ping pong tables, or at least not that we discovered. When we asked, we were told no. There is no outdoor firepit, or BBQ grill; not one for guest use, and again, we were told "no" when we asked. There is a laundry service available, but no machines available for private, guest use. There is no gym. There are no outdoor chairs at the swimming pool, other than the restaurant furniture...so no sun loungers or unbrellas at the pool. There is no outdoor furniture on the room balconies. The hydro seems to go out regularly, and there isn't a backup generator.

We had a really good time here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It’s recommended to have a car or a driver to explore the area.

-Beautiful property with lots of lush plants and foliage surrounding rooms. -Big clean and comfortable rooms with great facilities (e.g private pool). -Helpful and friendly staff. -Generous and varied breakfast available everyday. -We had a very early check out (5am) to get to the airport for a flight and the wonderful staff prepared breakfast for us even despite us leaving so early and made sure they helped us carry our bags up the hill to our taxi - brilliant service.

Only thing we would have changed is that the private pool in the room is not very private as hotel staff occupy the space throughout the day, so we didn’t use it much at all. Other than that our stay was perfect.

Great place with a scenic view

Not much

The place is right in the middle of the rice fields, so the atmosphere was very relaxing. Our bungalow was super comfy, aircon & wifi available, comfortable beds and beautiful view. The kitchen served tasty local foods. We would stay again. Thanks guys for making it a home for us and keeping up the good work.

Evething is good

An excellent stay. Great facilities at this new resort. Staff were excellent and very attentive. The overall service was great and staff were very friendly. Good food offerings. Everything is nice, the view from bungalows is unreal the rice fields terraces. Many things to do outside the hotel if you want to walk around the rice fields
