Cat Ba Paradise Hotel - Sky Bar & Massage

Clean, comfortable hotel near the beach. Good buffet, but some items, including water, not refilled once consumed. Great location, good value for money.

Not the hotels fault but a lot of construction in Cat Ba so the view is sadly not what it used to be

I had a deeply disappointing experience at this hotel. There was massive construction right in front of the property, creating constant dust, noise, and a poor view. We paid $150 per night for an "oceanfront view," yet the reality was far from what was promised. To make matters worse, no one informed us about the construction beforehand. Considering that similar hotels without views charge only a third of the price, we felt deceived and overcharged. Additionally, the hotel seemed intent on cutting corners at the expense of guest comfort. The air conditioning was preset to "cool" mode, which was inappropriate for winter. Guests couldn’t control the temperature from their rooms and had to call the front desk to activate the heat. Even then, the heating was centrally controlled and appeared to be on a timer. It turned off during the night, leaving us freezing. We woke up feeling unwell and were too sick to move to another hotel, forcing us to stay an extra day just to recover. This experience left a bad impression, and I cannot recommend this hotel to others. The lack of transparency and disregard for guest comfort were unacceptable.

Första rummet vi fick hade en stark röklukt och lakanen var inte tvättade. Fick tillslut byta rum efter att ha fått ett nej första gången. Andra rummet hade ingen cigarettlukt så var mycket bättre men fortfarande allmänt smutsigt och svartmögel i badrummet. Även om utsikten från rummet var bra är hela området framför hotellet en byggarbetsplats.
