Tam Coc Cat Luong Homestay

The host was very kind, they also have a swimming pool where you can relax at the end of the day.

Fairly clean room, swimming pool. Nice area.

I definitely can’t recommend this hotel because of the staff. The owner spoke almost no English. During our stay there was a flood. I asked if it was safe for us to stay there and the owner replied „yes”. The next day the water rose so much that we had to leave the scooter far away from the hotel and walk in knee-deep water among the fish. That's when we decided that we wanted to change hotels because the situation would definitely be much worse the next day. The owner did not offer us any discount for the situation and lied that her car broke down so that she would not have to take us to another hotel that we had to find ourselves. She ordered us a taxi for which we had to pay a lot ourselves. When I asked at the end if the driver knew the address to which he was to take us, the owner replied to me via Google translator: "you pay for the taxi". It was very rude. Breakfasts were cold and tasteless. The ice cubes for the glass were taken from the freezer BY HAND. Disgusting. The owner charged our stay more than she should have because we stayed one night longer than I booked through booking.com so the price should not include booking’s commission.

The Landscape is so beautiful, they help me try to find a bus and the motorbike so easy.

I was traveling by myself, I think she was so rude with me, she want to take more money from me for everything, the bathroom wasn’t clean, the smell was like vomit, and poor breakfast more onion than eggs.

King room with a great view over the lake view was extremely comfortable and clean, with functioning air con and a fan, The shower was powerful. We did not arrive until 5am and the host was waiting for us to check us in and take us to our rooms. The host made us a cooked to order breakfast every morning that we pre ordered the night before. There are bicycles and push bikes to rent from this homestay to get around on..overall it was really nice. Extremely peaceful and relaxing.

There was not anything I did not like

a very peaceful place to stay! A king sized room with lake view was clean and very comfortable. Working air con and a fan which made the room very cool. Powerful and hot shower which i very much appreciated! We arrived at 5am and the landlady was waiting to check us in and very swiftly took us to our rooms so we could rest. There was cooked to order breakfast each morning which you pre-ordered the night before, which was very tasty. She was so helpful and booked us taxi’s when we needed them. It’s a 8 minute drive from tam coc, so very close, but taxi’s and grab were tricky to get. There are bicycles and mopeds available to rent from the homestay which was handy. Overall a very lovely, peaceful stay!

Difficulty getting a grab, however host was very helpful sorting us taxis.

We had 4 electricity shortages in the evening, therefore I couldn’t work and the AC stopped working as well. In the morning they changed our bathroom pipe and therefore we couldn’t use the bathroom either. The bathroom also didn’t smell good. The mattress was still wrapped in plastic and uncomfortable. Also the whole flat didn’t look so welcoming. Also our laundry smells like it wasn’t washed properly either

Lovely homestay set out of the town centre, short walk into town. Homestay hosts were so lovely, spending time with them eating and drinking. Had to use google translate to communicate but they were very good with that. Awesome bungalow looking over lotus pad pond. Helped us organise travel thoruhg the area and a bus to Sa Pa. Highly reccomend!
