We totally enjoys our stay loved the back deck , and the location. Will be back

This is a sub standard property only about 6 rooms with little to commend it other than there is not much better in town. Booking in was a nightmare. There is no one at th3 property, had to ring a number unfortunately no one answered. When I finally got an answer my payment could not be processed. ( I kept getting told that I did not live in the state that I do in fact live in. Gave up cancelled my booking and then went through Hotels.com.

We loved where we stayed. Had a front porch, back deck and a sitting area on dock overlooking the bay and could see the light house. We were able to walk to most stores and resorts. So Enjoyed it!!!

This is one of the older hotels on the island. We stayed off season and were the only quest that night. In fact we never saw the staff. Our room was left open with the keys and the next morning we left them in the office. Goes to tell how great this little town is. Very trustworthy. The hotel is located right downtown giving it easy walking to most things of interest. It is one of the older hotels. Definitely no extras but it was very clean and looks to have been freshly painted. I would stay again.

My wife and I had a WONDERFUL time celebrating our 41 anniversary (Dec 30, 2024) and we LOVED staying at the Bluff Shoal Motel!! We GREATLY ENJOYED 5 days and 4 nights of peace and relaxation! The motel manager, Sissy, was EXCEPTIONALLY kind and helpful!! We understood that late December is NOT the tourist season and many stores and restaurants were closed. But just the right number were open for us to find exactly what were looking for! THANK YOU SISSY and THANK YOU OCRACOKE for our WONDERFUL visit!! We are VERY GRATEFUL! See you again, God willing! The area by the water was lovely. The bed was comfortable. We did not like the fact that because we booked through a 3rd party (Expedia) we were given the smallest, darkest room. The small back window looked out at a shower and the front window was equally small. We booked a room because of the photos that were in the post but the room we were given did not reflect the bright rooms that are advertised. There was no room to sit except for 1 chair in a corner. The other person had to sit on the bed. I needed to use my computer and there was nowhere to put it and there was no chair that I could use as the one that was in the corner was very low. (We were told by the absent owner/manager, by telephone, that we would go and take a chair from another room. We did and I used the suitcase rack to place my computer on my closed suitcase in order to use it. I also asked if we could move to another room that had a table and chairs (all the others seemed to) and was told that the motel was fully booked for the weekend. I checked at night and in the morning and not all of the rooms were occupied. I even took photos of the parking lot very early on our second morning. There were 2 cars in it. Something really should be done to ensure that all guests are comfortable. I would not suggest that people book through a 3rd party is they want one of their nice rooms. If you know that 2 people will occupy a room why not spring for another chair? Really! If I were to go back to Ocracoke I would find other accommodations.

We had a wonderful time here. The motel is right in the middle of town with a great restaurant right across the street.
