Cute little place.
Property picture showed cute themed rooms. While the picture was acurate, what you couldnt tell was how cheap the rooms were done. Paint was so thin on ceiling you could see the drywall through paint. Shower floor was black, but should have been white, no, i didnt take a shower. Cob webs with bugs in corners. Ceiling height was 6.5 ft. And had water stains. I really dont think my 6 ft. 6 inch son could have stood straight up in this room. We happened to be in Whitehall on a Monday, there was only 1 restaurant open, thank goodness it was good!
Pretty decent place. Worked out great for us. If you’re the super picky type, you might want to look elsewhere, but it was great for us.
The room was very small and stunk like mildew. No parking area for truck with trailer. We didn't stay. We left and found another place to stay. Very disappointed!!!
My son worked at Camp Miniwanca while in college. He and his family come up there to camp in the area every year. He was familiar with WhiteHall so wee got a room there. The price is reasonable. It is walking distance to several places. I had never done virtual check-in so I was a little apprehensive about how all this was going to work. I was given 2 different times when I should be getting emails regarding check in. And when information wasn't showing up at the earlier time, I was really getting anxious. I feel the issue was with where I booked the room through, not Whitehall Cottage, because my email from them showed up when it was supposed to. A previous review mentioned the uneven floor. Yes, it is uneven. There is a loose/wobbly tile by the shower also. The bed was very comfortable. Liked the comforter and drapes. It could use a little work yet, but overall not bad. I was there to sleep and shower, not to entertain people.
Room could have been a little cleaner, not terrible. Good location if you enjoy being able to walk to local dining and shopping
Slow responses. Non-smoking but smelled strongly of weed.
No tv and no ac. Very warm in the room even using the fan
Absolutely DISGUSTING!!!!!! Upon arrival to this horrible property my daughter and I took one look at the outside and both said it’s just for one night. Once we opened the door to the room an overwhelming stench hit us in the face like welcome to your small mildew smelling room. I tried opening the windows which 2 of them didn’t work so we opened the door to the room. After an hour the smell kept getting worse that I actually sprayed body spray in hopes it would freshen the room but as you could guess no luck. My daughter pulled back the comforter to her bed and there was a huge brown stain on the very blanket my 7 year old was about to use. I checked my bed linens and the previous guest forgot to take her makeup off and I know exactly what color her mascara and eyeshadow was. We tried to get a refund since we deemed the room unsanitary and actually left and went to a different hotel. When I asked for a refund to a place we sat outside of most of the time the property manager said NO and here is the reason given….. we left the flatscreen tv which is on a swivel bar in a swiveled position and not flat against the wall. Excuse me?????? You left us a stinky room with soiled bed linens and mold growing on the window screen and you can’t refund me. You should have paid me for wasting body spray on your dump. I hope you get closed down for unsanitary and inhabitable conditions. I would not let my dog stay there!
