Do not stay here. Extremely disappointing and poor customer service. They charged me for a room that I was never able to use. They never sent me access info., never returned my calls/voicemails about gaining access, and then when I showed up on site - no one was there to assist. I've called and requested a refund for the room for weeks, and they have still not granted it.
No towels
We arrived at 8pm and the door to check in was locked. So I had to check my email to see if they send me anything about checking in after 3pm. They did. They sent me a code to my room and my room number. We had to log into Netflix with our own account and pray that when we left it logged us out. The parking lot was super small and then it rains it was flooded. The room was clean and nice. I just thought maybe it was going to mini cottages not like a small motel. My friend and I still had a great stay tho. Maybe they need to update their pictures to show more of what the customers are actually getting and say more about checking in after 3pm.
This is the second time we’ve stayed there. The location is great close to downtown and to the docks. The rooms are always clean and we love the cottagey way they have decorated each room uniquely. Fridge and microwave appreciated.
The room was nice, but there was food in the fridge, snacks on the shelf, the chair at the desk was broke, our shower door was broke so it leaked onto the floor. The bathroom window wasn't locked right. And the Room smelled a bit musty. It didn't smell clean.
It looks like the outside hasn't been maintained in weeks. Parking lot and sidewalks have bit been swept or cleaned in ages. Inside the room, floors were dusty. Found a dead moth on floor. If there was a problem at night, how do you contact someone? I don't think the money spent staying there was worth it. I realize this is an older property but not large enough to be neglected like this.
My boyfriend and I stayed here this past weekend for my birthday. When we arrived there wasn’t any staff on the premises. We tried getting into our room but couldn’t. So I called the number on the website and no one answered. I called 4 times then sent a text message still nothing. So after an hour and a half of driving around awaiting a response we went back hoping to find a staff member on site to help us. Unfortunately no one was there. So I went around knocking on doors hoping someone would answer and help us get into our room. After the 5th room Someone answered and helped us. 2 hours later a staff member replied to my message. Then the day that I checked out I forgot some of my belongings there. When I realized that I tried calling the number on the website again and after repeated amounts of times trying to call and no answer. I texted. I was going to be in the area for 2 more days and needed to come pick up my belongings. Unfortunately they didn’t reply until I was driving home which I live 3 hours away. Then I asked the staff memes to mail me my belongings and they will not until I send my cc number to pay for the cost to mail it. Now I work in customer service and this is absolutely not the way to treat a customer. So disappointed with this place. And the way it’s ran and how they treat their customers.
Very clean property and met my basic needs. I there were better lighting, especially in the bathroom and a full length mirror would have been nice. But, other then that, my stay was great. It was located in walking distance to a lot of restaurants. Staff responded quickly to my questions, even with being off-site.
My wife and I stayed here for 6 nights, to visit family. The manager responded quickly to requests. It is a 15 minute walk to the White River/White Lake. The room was clean. However, the bed was very soft, the room is VERY small, and everything showed signs of age - except the new vinyl floors. I would stay here again, but don't expect any frills.
To call this is "boutique motel" is a bit of an overstatement, to say the least, but it worked for what we needed. It was easy to check in, the beds were comfortable, and there is a nice fridge with a freezer. The TV is great, too. There were spiders in the corners, and in the bathroom which suggests the cleaning crew isn't exactly paying attention to details. I also was never able to get hot water in the bathroom sink. If you're not too fancy, and you're looking for a place to rest your head while you hit the beach and explore the area, this place is fine. If you need towels folded like swans, and mints on your pillow, keep looking. We would probably stay here again. One thing-I can't really speak to the courtesy etc of the staff. There is no front office or reception desk. The couple of questions we had prior to our stay were answered through Facebook within 12 hours. Also-there is no coffee maker, so if you need your morning cup of joe to function, bring your own !
